Hope ~ Healing ~ Support
My work is grounded in the understanding that trauma and chronic stress affect both the mind and body. When the nervous system has spent extended periods responding to threat, people may experience anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, shutdown, difficulty sleeping, physical tension, or a persistent feeling that they cannot fully relax—even when they know they are safe.
Counseling focuses not only on understanding what happened, but also on helping the nervous system develop a greater capacity for safety and regulation. I integrate EMDR, trauma-informed care, cognitive and behavioral approaches, and nervous-system regulation strategies based on each client's individual needs.
